Management of gallstones including laparoscopic cholecystectomy (over 1000 performed); surgery for acid reflux disease; laparoscopic splenectomy; laparoscopic division of adhesions and appendicectomy. General surgery including removal of lumps and bumps.

Academic background
B Med Sci (1st Class Hons) Nottingham University 1985, BM BS Nottingham University 1985, FRCS (Gen Surg) 2000 Royal College of Surgeons of England. Miss Reed trained in hospitals in the North East of England, followed by two years of specialist laparoscopic training in Leeds and Hull. She was appointed to her first consultant post in Huntingdon in 2000 where she had a very successful and busy practice. She became Head of the Department of Surgery in Huntingdon, and moved to Colchester in September 2007. She is an extremely experienced and senior surgeon with experience of over 1000 laparoscopic hernia repairs and cholecystectomies.
